All candidates for this election must be current voting members of USA Fencing in good standing. (Those not currently members but seeking to apply must become USA Fencing members on or before Dec. 30, 2019). There are no additional requirements for At-Large Directors.
In addition, the following are the requirements which must be met for both the roles of President and Treasurer:
- No person may take or hold a position as a National officer of the USFA while simultaneously holding office in any organization recognized by the USOC as the National Governing Body of another sport.
- No person may take or hold a position as an elected National officer of the USFA while serving as an agent or administrator of any administrative unit of the USFA.
Further, the following are the requirements that must be met for the individual roles of President and Treasurer:
- President: Only citizens of the United States who have previously served the USFA as an officer, member of the Board of Directors or chair or member of a Principal Committee who have served for minimum of four years may hold the office of President.
- Treasurer: Only persons who have demonstrated competence in financial control and management may hold the office of Treasurer.
