Alan Kidd

Alan (Al) Kidd became the President and CEO of the National Association of Sports Commission in 2017 following a career in advertising, marketing, private equity and education.

Al earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physical education from Bowling Green State University. Al began his business career in Chicago with Nationwide Advertising.

He joined Knoth & Meads (K&M) Advertising, sold it to Saatchi & Saatchi (S&S) Advertising, reacquired, started Kidd, Schneider and Dersh and finally sold to TMP Worldwide becoming an investor in and working on Monster.com.

Shortly thereafter, he started ARK Enterprises, a venture capital company and consulting practice.

Al worked in the non-profit sector from 2004 to 2012 where his team built a nationally recognized Sports Commission adding more than $150 million dollars of sports tourism revenue for the City of San Diego.
