Assistant Fencing Coach, Columbia University (New York, NY)

Job Description:

The Columbia Fencing Team is searching for a world-class coach to work with its nationally ranked men and women fencers. We are looking for experience in epee and/or foil. The Columbia Fencing Program has a long and proud history of producing NCAA Champions, Ivy Champions, Olympians, World Team Members and National Champions. The past five seasons Columbia Fencing has finished 1st, 1st, 3rd ,2nd and 1st at the NCAA Championships as well as our dominance in the Ivy league with our Men’s team winning six Ivy titles in a row and our women four of the past five years. On the international scene, the past three seasons we have had eighteen Columbia fencers competing at the Junior World Championships winning three gold, two silver and five bronze medals. This year we had five Junior World Team members.

Responsibilities:

The candidate for this role should have experience in developing and training fencers for North American Cup competition, international competition at the highest level. Responsibilities include 1-on-1 lessons, creating individual training programs, leading developmental sessions and coaching at major tournaments including NAC’s and NCAA competition. The Assistant Fencing Coach provides instructional and recruiting support services the direction and supervision of the Head Coach.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree Required
