Job Title: Saber Coach
Start Date: ASAP/April 1, 2022
Job Description: Washington Fencing Academy is seeking an enthusiastic individual as a part time assistant instructor for beginner and/or intermediate level saber classes for the next 6-12 months, with the potential for an extended time period. Candidates should have experience teaching saber to students ages 8-18 and will be available in the late afternoons and evenings 2-3 days per week. WFA is located in Issaquah, WA and is easily accessible from Interstate 90.
Responsibilities:
-Instruct beginner and/or intermediate saber students, ages 8-18
-Minor clerical duties such as checking in students and selling memberships/retail items as needed
-Potential for private lessons
-Potential for strip coaching on occasional weekends
-Minor gym maintenance as required to ensure a healthy training environment for our students
Qualifications:
-Age 18+
-Experience teaching saber to youth and teens at beginner and/or intermediate levels
-Pass background check and complete safe sport training
-Asst. Moniteur credentials or above is a plus, but not required
