Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Start Date: August 2019
I am the fencing coach and club advisor at Hemet High School: comprehensive (Special Ed – AP, 100+ sports, clubs, and extra-curriculars), large (~ 2,500 yearly enrollment), public (neither private, charter, nor voucher).
We opened the 3-weapon program in 2005 and regularly serve from 20-40 students throughout the school year. Several of our competitive fencers (7) have represented us at Junior Olympics and at Nationals. Our program has been consistently strong and supported by my colleagues and administration. To my knowledge, we are the only fully public high school in Southern California that offers this elite sport.
Not only will a rewarding teaching position be open but also the opportunity to introduce, coach, and inspire more great young people to our sport.
If you, or someone you know, might be interested in applying for this career opportunity of a lifetime, please contact me.
Ideally, you'll be hired by our district and principal as a professional educator of a subject at our public high school and coach our eager fencers to greatness.
A California single or multiple subject credential.
I have my principal's permission for you to contact me for additional information.
