Fencing Head Coach, Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio)


The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Fencing Head Coach.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing, directing, and coaching an intercollegiate Varsity men's and women’s fencing program. Recruits scholarship and walk on athletes. Manages all aspects of the program including scheduling, travel, equipment needs and budget.  Manages coaching staff and other support staff.  Monitors academic progress of student athletes. Participates in development activities to promote the fencing program. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.


Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or equivalent education/experience desired.  Coaching and competitive experience in fencing. Coaching experience at the collegiate level and experience coaching both male and female athletes desired.  Experience in an NCAA program as a coach or student athlete, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.  Position requires working with a diverse student and staff population.
