Job Description:

We are a three-weapon club located in Evanston, IL. We train in the Northwestern University Fencing Team's facility. This is a new club with mostly beginner to intermediate level foil fencers, who are just starting to compete locally. The Northwestern University Club Team train at the club as well.

Right now, our club meets two days per week - Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. We are looking for a part-time coach who wants to grow with the club. There is opportunity to expand operating hours in the coming year and develop this job into a full-time position, while growing the membership.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but not limited to: run weekly classes, give one-on-one lessons, be available to strip coach on some weekends, help run camps and clinics, and assist in growing the club. There is flexibility with the club to grow at whatever pace the right candidate is able.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is one who is excited to take on the prospect of growing a club from the ground up and developing as a coach with the club. We are happy to consider both candidates with previous experience doing so and candidates with a strong fencing background who are interested in making the transition to coaching.
