Personal: A life-long Star Wars fan, Mackiewicz turned his love of light sabers into a career as a successful fencer. Mackiewicz reached the podium at his first Cadet World Championships, earning silver at age 16 and going on to qualify for his first Senior World Team out of high school before winning back-to-back NCAA titles for Penn State. The 2020 Olympian now has his sights set on Paris while also looking ahead to a future career in the entertainment industry.
