USA Fencing Names Golden by Corgi as Its New Insurance Program Partner
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Fencing today announced that Golden by Corgi will provide its insurance program beginning August 1, serving the federation's member clubs, coaches, officials, and athletes across the country.
Clubs can get more information on our Insurance page. USA Fencing and Golden will host a member webinar on Tuesday, July 21 to walk through the new program, the member benefits, and how to request certificates and file claims. Register here.
Golden by Corgi is a protection program built specifically for national sports governing bodies, backed by Corgi, a full-stack insurance carrier. Under the new program, coverage for sanctioned activity is matched or better, with limits met or exceeded versus the prior program, and the fencing community gains access to new member benefits at member pricing.
Unlike the traditional model, in which insurance is assembled by a broker across several separate companies, Golden operates on a carrier model: underwriting, certificates, and claims sit under one roof. That means a single, unified program, a real year-round partner, and a structure designed to return value to the federation and its community.
For members and clubs, the day-to-day experience gets simpler: certificates of insurance issue in minutes, filing a claim is straightforward, and everything lives in one place at usafencing.org/insurance.
"Protecting the people who make our sport possible is one of our most important responsibilities," says Phil Andrews, USA Fencing CEO. "Golden gives our clubs and members strong, familiar coverage and a genuine partner built for sport, with new benefits that give back to the fencing community."
"USA Fencing has built something special, and we are proud to stand behind it," says Peter Akman, founder executive at Corgi. "Our goal is simple: the same or better protection, a partner that shows up all year, and a program that works for the whole fencing community."
Members do not need to take any action before the transition.
Coverage continues without interruption, and anything that occurred before the switch continues to be handled by the prior carrier. Full details, including the coverage summary, how to file a claim, and how to request a certificate of insurance, are available at usafencing.org/insurance.
