Aleksander Ochocki Coaching Seminar: June 30

On Sunday, June 30, the United States Fencing Coaches Association will be presenting a coaching education seminar featuring Aleks Ochocki entitled "Building Defensive Actions in Saber." The seminar will be at the conclusion of the Division I men’s saber finals (approximately 7:20 p.m.) on strip D2.

This presentation is in partial fulfillment for the rank of fencing master for Coach Ochocki and is open to the public.

Aleksander Ochocki is a 2013 USA Fencing Division I National Champion who represented the United States at the Senior, Junior and Cadet World Championships, winning bronze in the men’s team event at the 2010 Junior Worlds. Ochocki also earned individual silver and team gold at the 2013 Pan American Championships.

As an athlete at Penn State, he won two individual NCAA Championships, two team championships and was a four-time First Team All-American.

His students have won more than 60 national medals, 14 World Cup medals, and represented USA on four national teams, including winning silver and bronze medals at the Junior World Championships.

Ochocki served as a team captain for the 2018 Junior and Cadet World Championships as well as the designated coach for numerous Junior World Cups and Cadet European Cups.

For the past three seasons, Ochocki has served as an assistant coach for the Notre Dame Fencing Team which went on to win back-to-back NCAA Championships, and four ACC Team Championships titles. His saber fencers earned an individual NCAA title as well as five individual ACC Championships and eight All-American honors.
