USA Fencing will host a Super Junior and Cadet Circuit (SJCC) and Division I North American Cup this Dec. 1–4 in Richmond, Va.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — As we shared when we announced the 2023-24 national tournament event combos way back in May, USA Fencing is excited to host a combined SJCC and Division I NAC this December.

Now that the arrangements have been finalized, we’re excited to share more details for this exciting tournament, which will be the final national tournament of 2023.

This Dec. 1–4, we’re heading to the picturesque city of Richmond, Va., for a Super Junior and Cadet Circuit (SJCC) tournament and Division I North American Cup.

The choice of Richmond, the dynamic capital of Virginia, should delight fencing families and fans. With its historical allure, diverse community and vibrant cultural scene, Richmond serves as the perfect backdrop for the fiery competition expected from our junior and cadet athletes in the SJCC tournament and the world-class fencers — including Olympians and Olympic hopefuls — in the Division I NAC.

For those unfamiliar, the SJCC tournament is where junior and cadet fencers battle it out for critical national points. Because this is an SJCC, these points are accumulated at a smaller scale when compared to a standard NAC.

While juniors and cadets compete in the SJCC, Division I fencers will compete in a Division I NAC event, where the top fencers will earn domestic qualifying points that could help their bid for a spot on Team USA’s 2024 Olympic roster.

Ready to register? You won’t have to wait long because we’ll open registration on Aug.16.

We're not just excited to see you compete; we’re excited to welcome you to Richmond, a city as diverse and vibrant as our community of fencers. We’re sure the combination of competition, culture and community will make this tournament an unforgettable one.
