Spencer Amann Places 10th at Basel Junior Epee World Cup

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) –Spencer Amann (Westminster, Colo.) earned his best finish at an international event on Saturday when the 16-year-old placed 10th at the Basel Junior Epee World Cup in Switzerland.

Amann won five of six pool bouts to earn a 13th seed in the direct elimination table.

After a bye into the table of 64, Amann defeated Ondrej Habarta (CZE), 15-10.

In the table of 32, Amann won his bout against Maxim Danilejko (CZE), 15-11, but lost his table of 16 bout against fourth seed Rico Leiser (GER), 15-13, and finished 10th overall.
