(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – USA Fencing regretfully announces that High Performance Director David Sach has resigned from his position, effective Dec. 31, for personal reasons.

Sach will remain in his role through the remainder of the calendar year in order to assist with the transition to a new high performance director. A committee will be established to search for candidates to fill the position.

A former elite fencer and Olympic referee, Sach came to USA Fencing from Great Britain where he served as the World Class Performance Pathway saber coach. During his tenure at USA Fencing, Sach created a high performance plan for the remainder of the quadrennium and worked with athletes in the cadet, junior, senior, wheelchair and veteran programs.
