In Day 2 of Competition, Lee Keifer defeats the Italian to win the Cadet World Championships in Women's Foil. Jumping to a quick lead 5-2, she held on to her lead, winning decisively 15-5 confirming her place on the 2010 Youth Olympic Team as well. Lee represented the US in the Sr. World Championships in Antalya, TUR this past October and is coached by Amgad Khazbak.
Mona Shaito also finished in the top 8 losing to Kiefer to advance into the semi-finals. Margaret Lu was also not far behind finishing 16th - clearly a strong showing for the US Cadet Women's Foil program. A fine "finale" to a long season for the athletes, parents, and personal coaches who have sacrificed much this year.
In the Men's Epee, congratulations to Alexander Eldeib who finished 10th, losing to Roman Svichkar to advance to the top 8.
