Request for Volunteers as Team Leader/Coach for Cadet and Junior Pan Am Championships, Feb. 6-11

Responsibilities: The team leader will coordinate air travel, ground transportation and hotel arrangements for the athletes. The team leader will provide strip coaching if appropriate. He or she also will confirm details for the competition and will ensure that entry fees are paid, athletes are entered and athletes arrive at the venue in time to compete.

Competition Location and Dates: Ponce, Puerto Rico, Feb. 6-11, 2013. For the full schedule, click here

Selection: Applicants will be screened by a committee in coordination with the director of sport performance. If the required number of athletes (five) is met, a team leader will be announced on Jan. 25.

Funding: The position will be funded to cover the team leader’s expenses, including airfare, housing and food, as well as a small stipend.

Application: Interested candidates should contact the Director of Sports Performance, Seth Kelsey via email at by 4 p.m. Mountain Time on Jan. 24. Candidates should include a letter with a maximum of 300 words describing their qualifications and past experience in coaching or leadership roles at the international level.
