(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – London Olympic team bronze medalist Maya Lawrence (Teaneck, N.J.) earned her best career finish at a Grand Prix event with her 10^th place result in Xuzhou, China on Sunday.

Lawrence, whose 11^th seed made her exempt from the pools and preliminary rounds on Saturday, defeated Vanessa Galantine (FRA), 15-13, in the table of 64 and followed her win with a 15-14 victory over Russian Alexandra Magdich in the table of 32.

In the table of 16, Lawrence dropped her bout to London Olympic team silver medalist A Lam Shin (KOR), 15-7.
