(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – USA Fencing is pleased to announce that Kate Drummey (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has accepted the position of national events manager and will begin her new role effective immediately.

Drummey joined the USA Fencing staff in 2011 as the organization’s membership assistant and has previously held several positions with U.S. Paralympics – a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Most recently, Drummey served as a coordinator of sport outreach and development for the USOC where she managed logistics for both the 2013 Warrior Games and the 2013 Paralympic Leadership Conference.

“We are very fortunate to have Kate in the National Events Manager position. USA Fencing will benefit from Kate’s event planning experience with the USOC and the Paralympic division,” said National Events Director Christy Strong-Simmons (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

A native of Johnstown, Pa., Drummey graduated from the College of William and Mary with Bachelor’s degrees in English and French.
