The National Office will be creating a volunteer Safe Sport Resource Team (SSRT) to assist with the operational management of the Safe Sport policy. Members of the SSRT will represent a variety of constituents including athletes, parents, coaches, officials, and other volunteers.
Individuals will be invited to apply to serve as a team member with one representative selected from each of the existing section boundaries. Once selected, the representatives will undergo training on the Safe Sport policy and serve as a resource person for their designated area. Staff will also request a representative from the Legal Resource Group serve as a liaison to the team.
The SSRT members will not be responsible for creating or interpreting policy, but will make recommendations for implementation of the policy at the local levels and assist with the dissemination of information. In addition, the SSRT will provide feedback and information from the field to the National Office.
Applicants are invited to apply through November 11, 2013 with the team named no later than November 22nd.
