Holmes and Campbell Finish in Top 64 at Budapest Epee Grand Prix

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Former Senior World Team members Katharine Holmes (Washington, D.C.) and Lindsay Campbell (Brooklyn, N.Y.) both advanced to the table of 64 at the Budapest Epee Grand Prix on Saturday.

Holmes, a two-time Junior World medalist and Princeton junior, went 4-2 in the pools on Friday and advanced to the table of 64 after a 15-7 victory over Bianca Benea (ROU) in the preliminary tables.

In the table of 64, Holmes lost to Marta Ferrari (ITA), 15-9.

Four-time Senior World Team member Lindsay Campbell (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished the pools with a 3-3 result and defeated Myoungsun Kim (KOR), 10-9, in the preliminary table of 64 on Friday.

Campbell lost her table of 64 bout on Saturday to Irina Embrich (EST) who went on to win the silver medal.
