On Monday, Seth Kelsey (Colorado Springs, Colo.) announced that he will be leaving his position as director of sports performance and development on April 30.

A three-time Olympian, Kelsey joined the National Office staff after the 2012 Games in London and served as team leader for Team USA at the 2013 Senior World Championships.

Kelsey will work with his co-director, Kate Reisinger (Colorado Springs, Colo.), on the development of a transition plan as she prepares to oversee the department.

Although he will be leaving his full-time position, Kelsey will remain on staff as a consultant beginning in May.

"Seth has been a tremendous asset to USA Fencing and I know he will continue to be valuable to our staff, coaches and athletes in the future," said USA Fencing Executive Director Kris Ekeren (Littleton, Colo.)

A captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Kelsey will be pursuing a new opportunity in real estate development while also increasing his focus on his work with the USAFR.
