Watch the Finals of the Absolute Fencing Gear® Korfanty World Cup LIVE This Weekend

(Chicago, Ill.) – USA Fencing will be streaming the final rounds of the Absolute Fencing Gear® Korfanty World Cup live from the University of Illinois at Chicago on Saturday and Sunday at www.usfencing.org.

The broadcast on Saturday will begin at 6:30 p.m. Central Time and will include semifinal and final rounds of the men’s and women’s individual saber competition.

Competition on Sunday will feature the gold medal finals for the men’s and women’s team events with at 6:30 p.m. (time subject to change).

Fencing fans can follow live results throughout the weekend at www.usfencing.org.

Athletes competing this weekend include:

  • Mariel Zagunis (Beaverton, Ore.), two-time Olympic Champion and four-time Senior World Champion
  • Aron Szilagyi (HUN), 2012 Olympic Champion and 2013 Senior World bronze medalist
  • Jiyeon Kim (KOR), 2012 Olympic Champion and 2013 Senior World bronze medalist
  • Olga Kharlan (UKR), 2012 Olympic bronze medalist and 2013 Senior World Champion
  • Diego Occhiuzzi (ITA), 2012 Olympic individual silver medalist and team bronze medalist
  • Nikolay Kovalev (RUS), 2012 Olympic bronze medalist and 2013 Senior World silver medalist
  • Sofya Velikaya (RUS), 2012 Olympic silver medalist and 2011 Senior World Champion
  • Veniamin Reshetnikov (RUS), 2013 Senior World Champion
  • Tiberiu Dolniceanu (ROU), 2013 Senior World bronze medalist
  • Irene Vecchi (ITA), 2013 Senior World bronze medalist
