William E. Simon Olympic Endowment for the Support of Athletes: Deadline Oct. 1

The William E. Simon Olympic Endowment is now accepting applications from athletes who are in need of financial assistance for training and competition expenses.

Preference will be given to athletes not already receiving financial support from either the USOC or USA Fencing.

The deadline to apply for the grant is 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Oct. 1. 

Please note: The application is an on-line form and you must request a password by 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Sept. 25.  

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding: 

  • U.S. citizenship and eligible/intends to compete for the U.S.
  • Demonstrated financial need in order to continue training.
  • Athlete agrees to complete a progress report summarizing training and competition.
  • Athlete understands that awards will be paid in two installments.

Interested athletes should send an e-mail to simon.grant@usoc.org by 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Sept. 25.
