“Thank you to everyone who worked on the committees, task forces and resource group assignments during the past year. We truly appreciate the countless hours our volunteers put into helping grow and improve fencing in the United States and are looking forward working with each of these groups over the course of the next season and,” said USA Fencing President Donald Anthony Jr. (Columbus, Ohio).

Among the changes to the 2014-2015 structure is the creation a new Sports Performance Resource Team to work with the National Office Sports Performance Department in areas relating to athletes, coaches and referees.

Two separate task forces were designated for scholastic athletes: the High School Task Force and the Collegiate Task Force. In prior years, a single Scholastic / Collegiate Task Force oversaw issues for both groups of athletes. This season, the board deemed that the two groups had different needs that would be best served by separate task forces.

Thank you to the following task forces that completed their work in the 2013-14 season:: National Points Task Force, Sports Performance Task Force and Team Operations Task Force.

The duties held by the Tournament Oversight Committee will now be assumed by the Tournament Committee in conjunction with the National Office Events Department.

In addition, the Tournament Committee and the National Office will now work directly with Regional Open Circuit tournament organizers to fulfill the responsibilities that were previously held by the ROC Committee.

The functions of the Parents and Club Committees will now be assumed by the Member Services Resource Team – a group that includes former Parent Committee Chair Kirsten Crouse (Conroe, Texas) as well as Club Committee Co-Chairs Fernando Delgado (Gurnee, Ill.) and Iris Zimmermann-Nowack (Rochester, N.Y.)
