(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – The United States won both gold and silver in the men’s team competition at the Copenhagen Epee Cadet European Cup in Denmark on Sunday.

The Americans fielded four teams in the 30-squad event with the USA I squad of Jack Bradford (Erie, Colo.), Stephen Ewart (Lancaster, Calif.), Bryce Bogert (Saint Augustine, Fla.) and Wesley Yuan (Princeton Junction, N.J.) earning a bye into the table of 16 as the second-seeded team in the tournament.

Team USA I defeated Japan, 45-35, to advance to the quarter-finals where the Americans edged Russia II, 45-44, as one of three U.S. teams in the top eight.

Fencing for Team USA IV, the squad of Joe Taylor (Chicago, Ill.), Wolf Crouse (Conroe, Texas) and Gabriel Bronfman (Orinda, Calif.) defeated Norway, 45-36, to advance to the semis.
