USA Fencing Reveals New Team USA Uniform Logo
Three-time Olympian Gerek Meinhardt in the first pair of knickers with USA Fencing's new competition gear logo.
(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – USA Fencing unveiled the new logo for Team USA’s international competitors this week.
The logo, worn on the left and right side of the knickers, replaces the previous country colors which were in use by U.S. fencers competing around the world for more than a decade.
The updated logo includes the USA lettering used in the USA Fencing logo that was released in the fall and also features the American flag to give the knickers a classic, yet modern, look.
Athletes who have knickers with the previous logo may still use them at local, regional and national tournaments.
The new logo will be worn for the first time internationally at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and will be used by all U.S. competitors fencing in all international events. Vendors will have the art for the new logo available on-site at Summer Nationals in Dallas this week.
