There will be more Olympic fencing on American television this summer than at any Games in history with coverage of all three weapons and eight gold medal finals scheduled in NBC’s newly released television listings for the Rio Olympic Games.

With 24-hour coverage featuring every Olympic sport across 13 platforms, fencing is scheduled to air on at least three of NBC’s networks. Live streams of every round also will air daily.

Television coverage of fencing kicks off Aug. 6 and runs through Aug. 13. Jeff Bukantz and J.B. Long will be the official announcers for fencing.

Both the individual and team competitions for women’s saber will receive extensive coverage , highlighting two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Mariel Zagunis (Beaverton, Ore.), two-time Olympian Dagmara Wozniak (Avenel, N.J.) and Ibtihaj Muhammad (Maplewood, N.J.), who will become the first U.S. woman to wear a hijab in the Olympic Games. Individually, Zagunis looks to regain her crown from the 2004 and 2008 Games. As a team, the trio will be joined by Monica Aksamit (Matawan, N.J.) with the U.S. women entering the Games as winners of five straight Senior World medals.

On the men’s side, NBC’s TV coverage will highlight men’s foil as Alexander Massialas (San Francisco, Calif.)Gerek Meinhardt (San Francisco, Calif.) and Miles Chamley-Watson (New York City, N.Y.) are not only podium contenders to win individual medals, but will try for the first Olympic team medal in men’s foil for the United States since 1932. Massialas and Meinhardt currently rank No. 1 and No. 4 in the world, respectively, while team replacement athlete Race Imboden (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is currently seventh.

All rounds will be live streamed on NBCOlympics.com or on the NBC Sports App. There, viewers can also find event rewinds and video highlights.
