(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – The third stop on USA Fencing’s Celebrate Rio tour will be held in Houston on Oct. 3 when 2016 Olympians Kelley and Courtney Hurley (San Antonio, Texas) will return to Alliance Fencing Academy, 1212A Cedar Post Lane.

The Hurleys, who won bronze in the team event at the 2012 Olympic Games as part of the first U.S. Women’s Epee Team ever to win an Olympic medal, were born in Houston and returned to train with 2016 Olympic Team Coach Andrey Geva (Houston, Texas) during the two seasons leading up to the Games.

Members of the fencing community are invited to Alliance Fencing Academy from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3 to celebrate the Hurleys and Coach Geva’s achievements at the 2016 Games.

In addition to winning bronze in London and placing fifth in Rio, Kelley and Courtney Hurley have competed in five combined Olympic Games. The former NCAA and Junior World Champions proudly represented Team USA and Alliance Fencing Academy as the cornerstones of the U.S. epee squad in Rio.

The event is free and open to the public. Due to limited space at the club, attendees are asked to RSVP by clicking here.

A limited number of tickets are available for a private lunch at the St. Regis with Courtney and Kelley Hurley. For additional details, visit here
