Following the release of the news on March 14 that USA Fencing will be launching a new membership and tournament registration portal, we are pleased to announce that this new database will launch early next week.

This new portal, which is mobile responsive for both phone and tablet users, has been designed to be user friendly for both USA Fencing members and parents of athletes under 18 who will have the opportunity to manage their children's accounts through a single username and password in order to register multiple children for events, etc. during a single session.

All USA Fencing members will receive an e-mail when the portal is live that will include instructions on how to register for events, memberships, etc. The announcement also will include directions on how to claim access to your existing USA Fencing membership profile.

This information also will be available at www.usfencing.org

The following are answers to some questions you may have about this new launch:

How do I access my USA Fencing membership profile if I'm already a member?
USA Fencing members must "claim your account" with the e-mail address you used to register your USA Fencing membership. When you enter your e-mail address, a verification code will be sent to that e-mail. You will need this code in order to access your membership profile.

Will my information from my previous profile be carried over into the new system?
Yes. The previous data will appear in your new membership profile. This will include your membership type, past payment history, past results and registrations that have been previously made for upcoming events.

I'm not a member, but my child is. Will I be able to access his or her account?
Yes, if your child is under 18, you may manage his or her account. That is one of the exciting features of the new system. If you are not a USA Fencing member yourself, the process to create a profile to manage multiple accounts takes less than five minutes and does not require a USA Fencing membership. If you are a USA Fencing member, you may add dependents to your account.

When can I register myself or my child for Summer Nationals?
Registration for Summer Nationals (July 1-10 in Salt Lake City, Utah) will open on Wednesday, March 29 at 9 a.m. MDT using the new portal.

I registered for the Division I / Wheelchair Nationals or April NAC already. Do I have to reregister?
No. Your registration for events for the remainder of the current season will be retained in the new platform. When you receive your login instructions, please view the competition section of your profile to confirm that all of the events listed are correct.

Can I renew my membership for the 2017-18 new season?
Membership renewal will open for the upcoming season on July 1.

Can first-time members register for a USA Fencing membership on the new platform?
Yes, first-time members will simply need to click the Create an Account button in order to register for a new USA Fencing membership.

Where do I access rankings?
Regional rankings can be found on the new platform at https://member.usfencing.org/search/regionalPointsList. National rankings (Senior, Junior, Cadet, Veteran, etc.) will be available at www.usfencing.org/current-point-standings.
