Apply Now for USOC Tuition Grants and the DeVry University | Team USA Scholarship

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Applications are now being accepted for 2017 United States Olympic Committee Tuition Grants and the DeVry University | Team USA Scholarship.

Applications for USOC Tuition Grants are due June 12, 2017.

Descriptions for the seven USOC Tuition Grants and Scholarships are as follows:

  • Team USA Coaching Education Grant: assists current Team USA athletes and retired Olympians/Paralympians to explore higher education opportunities in high performance coaching. Recipient(s) of this grant should intend to pursue coaching as a career. Opportunities could include, but are not limited to, coaching certification(s) and degrees with USOC identified accredited education programs, sports psychology, physiology and nutrition.
  • Team USA Olympic Education Grant: designated to support current Team USA athletes as verified by their NGB and the USOC competing in an Olympic sport. Recipients of this grant would be athletes who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited academic institution in pursuit of obtaining a higher education degree or approved certification.
  • Team USA Paralympic Education Grant: designated to support current Team USA athletes as verified by their NGB/HPMO and the USOC competing in a Paralympic sport. Recipients of this grant would be athletes who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited academic institution in pursuit of obtaining a higher education degree or approved certification.
  • Team USA Pan American Education Grant: designated to support current Team USA athletes as verified by their NGB/HPMO and the USOC in a Pan American sport. Recipients of this grant would be athletes that are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited academic institution in pursuit of obtaining a higher education degree or approved certification.
  • Team USA Olympic & Paralympic Alumni (Retired) Education Grant: designated for Team USA athletes who have competed in at least one Olympic or Paralympic Games. Recipients of this grant would be retired Olympians & Paralympians who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited academic institution in pursuit of obtaining a higher education degree or approved certification.
  • Utah Eccles School of Business Grant: designated for current competing Team USA athletes as verified by their NGB and recently retired (within the past 4 years) Team USA Olympians & Paralympians who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll at the University of Utah’s Eccles School of Business. This grant is intended to assist student-athletes in the undergraduate business program only.
  • 2002 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Legacy Scholarship: intended to aid with academic costs for qualifying Team USA athletes who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited academic institution in pursuit of obtaining a higher education degree or approved certification in the state of Utah. Eligible athletes include:
    • Current Team USA athletes training and attending school in the state of Utah
    • Retired Olympians/Paralympians who are attending school in the state of Utah

The DeVry | Team USA Scholarship program allows athletes to earn a degree through DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management and Chamberlain College of Nursing.

The scholarship will remain open for the rest of the year. In order to enroll in the July Session, athletes must apply by June 5, 2017.
