09/07/2017, 7:00pm CDT
By Nicole Jomantas

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – USA Fencing is partnering with the Federation Internationale d’Escrime and countries around the globe in celebrating World Fencing Day on September 9.

The theme of the first ever World Fencing Day is solidarity.

Clubs around the world are coming together to welcome first-time fencers through demonstrations, free trials and lessons, open house parties and more all in the spirit of solidarity and growing our sport.

In the United States, World Fencing Day will be held in conjunction with National Fencing Weekend – a three-day celebration of fencing that also includes participation in the Fencing Flash Mob on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Check out the links below for information on free fencing opportunities and the Fencing Flash Mob.
