(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – USA Fencing will host the first ever Super Junior and Cadet Circuit tournament for fencers from March 15-17, 2019 in Anaheim, Calif.

The three-day tournament will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center and will include junior and cadet events in each of the three weapons for both men and women.

The SJCC will serve as an opportunity for athletes to qualify for both the 2019 July Challenge as well as the 2020 Junior Olympic Championships.

Points on the National Rolling Point Standings will be awarded to the top 40% (rounded to the nearest whole integer) in each event at the SJCC at a weight value of .2 of the national competition point table for juniors and cadets. Points will be allocated to a maximum of the top 64 competitors in each event.

The tournament will serve as a pilot event for a future Super Junior and Cadet Circuit. Following the conclusion of the tournament in 2019, a survey will be conducted of participants and the event will be evaluated for expansion in subsequent seasons.

Further details and event registration information will be released in the coming months.
