(Wuxi, China) – The U.S. Men’s Foil Team will aim to make history tonight as Team USA goes for gold against Italy in a bid to end the season with a first-ever Senior World Championship team title in men’s foil for the United States in history.

The final will begin at approximately 7:15 a.m. Eastern Time and will be streamed live at https://www.olympicchannel.com/en/tv/overflow-4/.

The guaranteed medal will make this year’s event the most successful Senior Worlds in history for USA Fencing with six total medals, including first-ever team golds in women’s epee and women’s foil. The previous record of five was set at the 2015 Senior World Championships in the final Worlds before the Rio Olympic Games where the U.S. team won medals in four events.

A win also would conclude the season with a perfect record at 7-0 for the U.S. Men’s Foil Team, including five straight World Cup wins throughout the 2017-18 season as well as a victory at the Pan American Championships in Havana last month.

In the earlier rounds, Team USA defeated China, 45-19, in the quarter-finals and Russia, the 2016 Olympic Champions, by a 45-29 margin in the semifinals.
