Raquel Brown is a philanthropist, mentor and active supporter of business, community and civic organizations, giving her time, talents & financial resources. She serves as an independent director of USA Fencing and a trustee of USA Fencing Foundation. Additionally, she is board secretary, The Telein Group, Inc., and advisory board member, Housing & Community Development, City of Fountain Valley. Raquel is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Women & Philanthropy at UCLA. She is also a proud charter member of the National Women’s History Museum.
Raquel’s area of expertise is individual and organizational performance and success by maximizing leadership, teaming, strategy, cultural transformation and marketing. She is known for her thought leadership, innovation and insight into complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics. She has been an advisor to leaders and teams in the private and public sectors, from start up to mature organizations across industries ranging from consumer products, education, energy, financial & insurance services, IT/digital, manufacturing and media to private equity. She has worked with CEO/C-Suite clients in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America.
In addition to co-founding a management consulting firm, serving as chief operating and financial officer, Raquel has had an eclectic career spanning the fields of business, education, non-profit and retail.
Raquel spent time at Xerox Corporation contributing and learning how to create an inclusive and diverse culture for all. Xerox holds the distinction of being the first Fortune 500 company to have two female CEOs, the first recipient of the Malcolm Baldridge quality award and grooming many industry executives. Before joining Xerox, Raquel held a marketing leadership position at the Girl Scouts USA. Additionally, she has sales and teaching experience. Raquel received a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Arts and Science from the University of Southern California. Additionally, she studied Interior Architecture & Design at UCLA.
Raquel lives in Southern California and is married with one son. Her hobbies are arts & crafts, gardening, photography and travel.
