COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — From the wizards with spreadsheets on the Audit Committee to the seasoned pros on the Veteran Committee, USA Fencing is teeming with dedicated individuals who are some of the real MVPs behind the sport's growth and success.

In an effort to help these members of USA Fencing committees and resource groups do their jobs more effectively, we’re announcing the creation of a Task Force on the Review of Committees and Resource Groups.

The Task Force will convene regularly to tackle key questions, such as:

• What's the best strategy for recruiting community members with the zeal, the diversity of thought and the skills to serve on our committees and resource groups?

• Is our current structure of committees and resource groups still effective, or is it time for a revamp? Do we have too many groups, just right, or not enough — and are our instructions and terms of reference sufficient for today’s USA Fencing?

• Should we extend the term lengths for committee and resource group members beyond the current one-year stint to assist with impact and workload?
