Point Control: USA Fencing's Vaccination Initiative

Point Control: USA Fencing's Answer to Wellness

In a strategic move against the flu and COVID-19, USA Fencing introduces "Point Control" — an initiative dedicated to providing influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations at selected regional and national tournaments during the 2023-2024 season.

Part of the larger "Coaching You Up" campaign by USA Boxing and in association with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), the program has widened its reach to incorporate other sports bodies, including USA Judo, USA Curling, and USA Karate. The goal? To "KO the flu and COVID" and reduce the impact of these life-threatening viruses.

Backing and Support

The progression of this initiative has been possible due to a sub-grant from USAging’s Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative, backed by the U.S. Administration for Community Living. Moreover, McUlsky Health Force (MHF), a pivotal advocacy firm, will continue its support focusing on advocacy relations, health care policy and strategic communications.

How to Take Part

If you're attending a national tournament or select regional tournaments this season, bring your insurance card and stop by the Point Control clinic to learn more about the vaccines and get your shot!
