USA Fencing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Fencing is fortunate to have some of the most devoted and passionate members in the entire sporting world. These are people willing to devote their time and energy — as volunteers — to help grow this sport we all love.

This is your chance to help shape the sport's future and increase your involvement in fencing.

The deadline to apply to join a 2023-24 committee or resource group is Aug. 7, 2023.

While time commitments per committee or resource group will vary depending on the needs of USA Fencing, volunteers should expect to attend regular committee meetings, contribute their expertise, and bring their enthusiasm and perspective to the organization.

What Happens After I Apply and If I'm Selected?

Appointments will be made by the USA Fencing Board of Directors during the Board's annual meeting to be held September 8-10, 2023.

Upon acceptance of a position on a committee or resource team, all individuals must complete the following within 30 days:

• Current USA Fencing membership (+CheckEd, +Coach or Coach)

• Current background check

• Completed SafeSport training

• Completed Conflict of Interest form

What if I am already on a Committee or Resource Group?

All sitting Committee or Resource Group members will need to reapply to maintain their seat on that particular team. Please note that we will be making an exception for current members of the Data Resource Group and the Coaching Advisory Resource Group as those groups were just named this past Spring. We will however be accepting new applications for those teams in the event that there is a need to expand for this upcoming year.
