COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — One thing’s for certain: Vet Fencers know how to build community.
It’s in that spirit that we invite all Veteran fencers — and those who are inspired by their journey — to the 2024 USA Fencing Veteran Awards Dinner, held during the January 2024 North American Cup in San Jose, Calif.
Tickets for the event, set for Jan. 6, 2024, at the Hilton San Jose, are on sale now.
The night is shaping up to be another special one with opportunities to reconnect with longtime friends, form new connections and have some fun.
And with pre-dinner drinks provided by our friends at Naked Wines, guests can toast the successes of our world-conquering Vet fencers as the Veterans Committee presents its Vet Fencers of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The timing of this particular dinner promises to be extra special as it falls less than three months after USA Fencing hosts the 2023 FIE Veteran World Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla. The talented Team USA athletes competing at that event should give us plenty to celebrate in San Jose.
At the 2023 edition of this beloved dinner, the USA Fencing Veterans Committee presented Vet Fencer of the Year Awards to Linda Dunn (Vet 70), Mark Lundborg (Vet 60) and Julie Seal (Vet 50). Lifetime Achievement Awards were bestowed upon Bruno Goossens, Judith Offerle and Delia Turner.
Planning to attend the 2024 celebration? Space is limited, so get your tickets as soon as possible at this link. If you’re able, please consider making an additional donation during registration — any gift made while buying your tickets or at the dinner itself will benefit the U.S. Fencing Foundation’s Veteran Fund.
We hope to see you there!
