Customer Service/Front Desk Associate, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, NY, NY

Job Title: Customer Service/Front Desk Associate

Job Description: TMFC strives to be the best competitive and recreational fencing program with top facilities, programming, instruction, and staff. The club is committed to providing a safe, clean, fun, rigorous, and community-oriented environment for all guests.

Customer Service Associates play a crucial role in member recruitment and support, providing high-quality customer service through professional communication, account maintenance, and extensive knowledge of the club's programs, services, and equipment. They are also responsible for using customer service software, understanding club policies, and providing support to coaches and students both in-person and online.

PAY: $20-$25/Hour Depending on Experience
Schedule:
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Manhattan & Portchester Locations

Responsibilities: What your day to day will look like:
● Book, cancel and update client schedules
● Work with coaches to verify schedules and availability
● Take accurate daily attendance
● Keep up to date and accurate client records in the club’s software (currently MindBody)
● Keep the club tidy and organized
● Answer client emails in a timely and professional manner
● Answer client questions about coaches, programs, pricing and schedules
● Promote sales and upsell clients when possible
● Scheduling trial lessons and fielding initial questions from prospective clients
● Work with your teammate to create a smooth client experience for all members
● Resolve billing issues
● Troubleshoot last minute scheduling issues
● Sell and update equipment inventory when needed

Qualifications: Required Skills and Experience:

● 2-3 years in a customer service or administrative support role
● Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
● Proficiency with Google Suite Applications
● Ability to communicate pricing and schedule policies accurately and clearly
● Ability to communicate effectively with your teammates
● Ability to identify issues and proactively escalate concerns to management
● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
