New for the 2023/24 Season, all USA Fencing Coach members will be required to complete the Foundation of Fencing Coaching Course.
You will be able to complete these modules within our content management system, FenceLab.
The Five Modules included with the Foundations of Fencing Coach Certification are as follows:
As a coach, you will have 90 days after you purchase your membership to complete the modules that comprise the Foundations of Fencing course. Until you complete your education requirements, your Coach membership status will show as (pending).
Coaches will also have the opportunity to test out of three Coach Education modules by proving their knowledge of fencing safety.
The goal of this test is to acknowledge the expertise and experience that our coaches bring to our sport. We recognize that not everyone starts from the same baseline of knowledge, and we believe these changes will make the educational process more efficient and focused for our coaching community. Learn more about the test out option here.
If you have any questions regarding the program, please email information@usafencing.org.
