William H. Walker Jr.

William (Bill) Walker began fencing in 1973 in Seattle under Master Leon Auriol. He fenced competitively in all three weapons in local and regional tournaments until 1984. In 2008, he resumed fencing and has served as the chairman for the USA Fencing Veteran Committee since 2018 and as a member of the USA Fencing Marketing Resource Team since 2017.

Walker is currently retired after a robust career in many sectors. He served as executive management for multiple technology start-ups and was the senior director of advanced technology for a large, privately Held Defense Contractor as well as the vice president of business development/vice president of sales and marketing at Fairchild Imaging. Walker served as the founder / vice presiden of engineering and the vice president of business development for S-TRON as well as a mechanical engineer for aerospace and defense at the Department of the Navy.

Walker holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, graduating first from the University of Washington and later from Oregon State University. He holds a registration in the State of Washington as a professional engineer, practicing in the field of mechanical engineering and has held security clearances at the level of “Secret” several times during his career.
