On Monday, the Federation Internationale d'Escrime announced that international tournaments will not be held until March when the final qualification events for the Tokyo Olympic Games will take place. Men's and women's events will be held in each weapon over the same weekend in order to minimize the travel needed for federations.

The 2021 Junior and Cadet Zonal Championships have been cancelled in all zones.

Senior World Cup and Grand Prix tournaments are scheduled as follows:

  • Saber World Cups (men and women): Budapest (HUN), March 10-14
  • Epée World Cups (men and women): Kazan (RUS), March 19-23
  • Foil Grand Prix (men and women): Doha (QAT), March 26-28

Additional information regarding selection for these tournaments as well as designation of events for U.S. Olympic Fencing Team selection will be posted at www.usafencing.org as soon as it is available.
