COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — In a significant move for all involved, USA Fencing CEO Phil Andrews has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Sports ETA as a Rights Holder Representative.

With this appointment, USA Fencing secures a "seat at the table" in America's only trade association for the sports events and tourism industry, ensuring the fencing voice is part of the conversation.

The move is also the latest reminder of Andrews’ shining reputation in the sporting community. Before joining USA Fencing, Andrews served as the CEO of USA Weightlifting, where he spearheaded transformational changes that resulted in record participation levels and sponsorships. Andrews also temporarily assumed leadership roles at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and the Pan American Weightlifting Federation (PAWF).

Originally from England, Andrews worked in various roles within the sport and business sectors there, including a position at Coventry Blaze, the British ice hockey champions; the FTSE 250 student hospitality business Unite Group PLC; and David Lloyd Leisure.

Upon accepting the role, Andrews is equally enthusiastic.
