Say Hello to College Connect, USA Fencing’s All-in-One Pathway From High-School Strip to NCAA Squad

Now live, the new platform streamlines college recruiting for fencers, families and coaches — putting every profile, result and message in a single NCAA-compliant hub.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — For decades, the road from a high school fencing strip to an NCAA roster spot has been paved with color-coded spreadsheets, late-night emails and countless introductions at national tournaments. Now, that piecemeal process gets its own express lane when USA Fencing rolls out College Connect, a centralized, NCAA-compliant recruiting hub that promises to bring every coach, fencer and parent onto the same digital piste.
And new for 2025: Registration for the in-person College Fair on June 30 in Milwaukee (held during Summer Nationals) will happen exclusively inside College Connect.
College Connect is a first-of-its-kind bridge between NCAA fencing programs and high-school fencers nationwide. Every NCAA college coach and every USA Fencing member in grades 8 to 12 already has an account waiting to be claimed.
- Student-athletes can build a dynamic profile that pulls verified results directly from USA Fencing’s database. Users can also add their GPA, test scores and highlight videos.
- Coaches can search and filter — by weapon, grad year, gender and more — to find the right athletic and academic fit.
- Athletes and coaches can message safely with one another.
“High schoolers and their parents often tell us they’re a bit mystified by the college recruiting process. College Connect is the answer. With this new member benefit, we’re making it easier than ever before for prospective student athletes to get on colleges’ radar screens — and to put their best foot forward in the recruiting process,” says Brad Suchorski, USA Fencing’s Director of Membership, Service & Growth. “Think of it as LinkedIn for collegiate fencing.”
Why It Matters
For Prospective Student-Athletes (and Parents): One profile showcases fencing results and academics, so families can focus on fit instead of paperwork.
For NCAA Coaches: Robust filters, side-by-side comparisons and video links certain to cut hours off every recruiting cycle.
