Welcome to the hub for the 2026 USA Fencing Election!

This year, eligible voters will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the organization by casting ballots in the following elections:

  • Board of Directors: Two At-Large Directors to be elected
  • Hall of Fame: The Class of 2027 to be elected
  • Referees' Commission: Four seats to be filled on the Referees' Commission

Key Election Details 

  • Who can vote?

    Board of Directors and Hall of Fame:

    • To vote in the 2026 USA Fencing Election, members must:
      • Be 18 or older as of Feb. 1, 2026
      • Belong to a voting-eligible membership class (Life, Competitive, Collegiate Competitive, Supporting, Access, Olympian Life, Paralympian Life, Life Installment and Coach)
      • Be in good standing on Feb. 1 and when voting opens
      • Have membership dues received by USA Fencing no later than Feb. 1, 2026
      • Ensure no more than two members share the same email address
      • Cast their own ballot (no proxy voting allowed under Article IX)

    Referees Commission:

    • Eligible voters are licensed referees who have officiated at at least two of the following events during any of the last three seasons (2023–24, 2024–25, or 2025–26):
      • North American Cup
      • Summer Nationals and July Challenge
      • National Junior, Senior, or Para Championships
      • International referee assignments
  • Who cannot vote?

    Anyone who does not meet the criteria above.

    For the Board and Hall of Fame elections, this includes:

    • Members who joined after Feb. 1, 2026
    • Parents of youth members (unless they personally hold an eligible membership class)
  • What's being voted on?

    Voters will receive ballots for up to three elections depending on eligibility, with the option to abstain from any election.

    • Board of Directors: Two At-Large Directors
    • Hall of Fame: Class of 2027
    • Referees’ Commission: Four positions
  • How will the election work?

    • Board of Directors: Voting uses a ranked preferential voting system (as required by the USA Fencing Bylaws). Voters rank the candidates in order of preference. The two candidates with the strongest overall rankings will earn seats on the Board.
    • Hall of Fame: Majority vote
    • Referees' Commission: Majority vote
  • How will I receive my ballot?

    Eligible voters will receive their ballot via email from eBallot.

    Each voter receives a unique voting link.

  • What if I think I'm an eligible voter but never got my ballot?

    If you believe you should have received a ballot based on the eligibility requirements above, please email information@usafencing.org.

    Include:

    • Your USA Fencing member number
    • Your first and last name
