After a difficult day in the pools on Saturday, Homer was seeded 64th in the direct elimination tables.

Homer defeated Max Hartung (GER), 15-13, in the table of 64 on Sunday and won his bout in the table of 32 against Vincent Anstett (FRA), 15-14.

In the table of 16, two-time Olympian Renzo Agresta (BRA) defeated Homer, 15-14.

Beijing Olympic silver medalist James Williams (New York City, N.Y.) lost to 2007 World medalist Eun Seok Oh (KOR), 15-8, and placed in a tie for 51st with Luther Clement (New York City, N.Y.)

Clement advanced to his first table of 64 bout at a Grand Prix since 2006, but lost to Anstett, 15-6, in his first bout.
