(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Mariel Zagunis (Beaverton, Ore.), Ibtihaj Muhammad (Maplewood, N.J.), Dagmara Wozniak (Avenel, N.J.) and Monica Aksamit (Matawan, N.J.) will compete in the table of 64 at the Bologna Saber World Cup in Italy on Saturday.
Zagunis and Muhammad earned automatic qualifications for the table of 64 as the #2 and #13 seeds in the division.
Wozniak and Aksamit both competed in the pools on Friday where Wozniak won all six of her bouts to finish fourth and earn a 22nd seed in the table of 64.
Aksamit won three of her five pool bouts and defeated Sin Ying Au (HKG), 15-14, in the preliminary table of 64 to qualify for competition on Saturday.
