Yesterday at the North American Cup in Atlanta, Ga., Lee Kiefer (16, Lexington, Ky./Bluegrass FC) continued a victory streak by winning the Division I Women's Foil event over Doris Willette (22, Lafayette, Calif./Massialas/PSU).
Kiefer also won the North American Cup held in Cincinnati in October, and also won a Junior “A” World Cup in Germany on Dec. 5.
Seth Kelsey (29, Brush Prairie, Wash./NYAC) won the Division I Men’s Epee event by defeating US teammate Cody Mattern (29, Portland, Ore./NYAC); the last competition for the pair earned them both silver medals in the team event at the 2010 World Championships in November.
Finally, the team from the DC Fencers Club defeated Northwest Fencing Center 45-43 to win the women’s epee team event.
