Andrew Fischl and Thomas Kolasa Finish in Top 64 at Moscow Saber World Cup

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Andrew Fischl (Huntington, N.Y.) and Thomas Kolasa (Princeton, N.J.) each fenced in the table of 64 at a World Cup for the first time this season on Saturday.

Fischl and Kolasa, a Harvard Senior, finished 39th and 57th, respectively, at the Moscow Saber World Cup in Russia.

Both athletes advanced to the table of 64 after fencing in the pools on Friday where Fischl finished 5-1 and Kolasa went 3-3.

In the table of 64, Fischl was edged by Ilya Motorin (RUS), 15-14, and Kolasa lost his bout to 2010 Senior World Team silver medalist Luigi Samele (ITA), 15-10.
