(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – The U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams will holding two-hour mini-training camps during the USA Fencing National Championships and July Challenge in San Jose, Calif. on July 3.
The camp will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and is open to Y10, Y12, Y14, cadet and junior competitive fencers.
Each training camp will be open to a maximum of 50 participants in order to maximize instruction time with the clinicians, which include 2012 Olympians and current members of the national teams.
The women's foil clinic will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the men's foil clinic will take place from 2-4 p.m.
Athletes will have the opportunity to work with 2012 Olympians Gerek Meinhardt (San Francisco, Calif.), Race Imboden (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Miles Chamley-Watson (New York City, N.Y.), Alexander Massialas (San Francisco, Calif.), Nzingha Prescod (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Lee Kiefer (Lexington, Ky.) and Nicole Ross (New York City, N.Y.) as well as two-time Senior World Team member Margaret Lu (Greenwich, Conn.) and 2014 Senior World Team member Sabrina Massialas (San Francisco, Calif.)
The camp cost is $150 with all proceeds benefiting the USA Fencing Men’s and Women’s Foil Teams.
