USA Fencing is pleased to honor clubs around the country that have exemplified excellence to their membership and our sport. Recognizing clubs that work creatively to attract new fencers to our sport while retaining long-time members is a priority to USA Fencing.
Without the efforts of local clubs, stability and growth in the sport would not be possible. Your hard work, dedication, volunteerism and pride are genuinely appreciated. In addition, providing a platform to share best practices with every club will serve a role in growing the sport across the country.
Applications for the 2021-22 season are closed. Applications for the 2022-23 season will open in June 2023.
Do your members love your club? If so, we encourage your club to apply for this award. Member recruitment, retention and programming dedicated to creating a positive culture are all part of the evaluation.
Is your club committed to diversity and inclusion? This category celebrates those clubs who have had significant success in designing programs for people with disabilities, female fencers, economically disadvantaged fencers and any other underrepresented group.
Clubs who excel in recruiting and retaining fencers under the age of 18 should apply. This recognizes clubs who create a positive environment that young people want to participate, regardless of their fencing ability.
Are you proud of your website? Do you utilize social media with great results? Have you found ways to promote the sport and your club in your community? If so, this is the category for you!
Does your club do everything possible to provide a safe environment for your members? This category recognizes clubs who work hard to educate everyone in the club including coaches, staff, parents, volunteers and fencers.
If your club has made a difference in your community, apply for this recognition. Examples include volunteering in your community, exposing underserved populations to the sport and offering cost-free opportunities for people who otherwise do not know about fencing.
